As a mother, I will never give up on my child. As a mother of a child who has autism, I will never give up hope.
I look into his eyes and I see all the potential that he has to offer to this beautiful world and I just know that one day the world can see what I see.

Follow my blog as I share my life and my experiences as a person who loves someone with autism.

  1. Hi Tanaya, Daniel and Bryce.

No questions or concerns today, just writing to say hi and share a little. I enjoy reading your posts and am glad you share your lives with us. I apologize about not commenting sooner and/or more often and not being more active or more participatory. I've actually never used this blogging system before so I'm sure my profile is greatly lacking. I may have introduced myself before, but it never hurts to have another go at it. My name is Matt, I live in Reno, Nevada, USA and am currently attending University of Nevada School of Medicine working toward my MD. I received my BS (equivalent to your B.Sc.) from University of Nevada, Reno in Cell and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. I have always had a significant interest in neurology, especially pediatric neurology and the Autism Spectrum Disorders. I came across your page after you had posted it to the Autism Awareness page on Facebook and have continued reading because I am intrigued. I've always studied these things from a clinical standpoint, but your blog and stories allow me to get a small glimpse of them from a daily life perspective and I greatly appreciate that. I have done some independent research on HBOT and Autism and would be extremely excited to see the results when Bryce undergoes treatment. I made a personal contribution, although not as sizable as I wish I could (unfortunately medical school is expensive and I'm broke.) I didn't want to say anything before because I wanted it to be a surprise, but a colleague and I have actually taken up a collection here in Reno for Bryce's HBOT. We have been collecting since early April, right about the time I joined your blog, and will continue to collect until at least the end of this month. Unfortunately the collection didn't go as well as hoped given the tough economy; however, 100% of anything we have collected will be donated directly to Bryce's HBOT fund. Thanks again for letting us into your lives and I look forward to your next post.

  2. @Matthew SabatiniHi Matt, thanks so much for your kind comment. We're very glad that we can help in your studies and hopefully allow you to learn a bit more about the complexity of autism.

We're also very thankful for your
contribution that you have already made, and very taken back about your surprise. It is very generous of you and your colleague. Every dollar helps and can make a difference, so anything is much appreciated.

If you have any questions, or concerns, or even another comment, please don't hesitate to Post a Comment again :) Also you can post anonymously if you didn't have a blog account too (incase you didn't know hehe)

    Thanks again, Matt!
