I think the part I always dread the most is introducing autism. Maybe ‘dread’ is the wrong word to use, but hopefully you get what I mean.
“Hi, my name is Tanaya, this is my husband, Daniel, and this is our son, Bryce.” And then there’s always that slight pause, a little moment, where I ask myself, ‘Should I mention to this person that Bryce has autism or not?’
I guess it just depends on the situation.
I always feel the same quandary, and I'm sure that I'm totally inconsistent in how I handle it. Read Bryce's story...we had exactly the same experience teaching my daughter how to walk. Seems like we are in the minority, but gross motor delays were our first clue that something wasn't right. I'm your newest follower!
