As a mother, I will never give up on my child. As a mother of a child who has autism, I will never give up hope.
I look into his eyes and I see all the potential that he has to offer to this beautiful world and I just know that one day the world can see what I see.

Follow my blog as I share my life and my experiences as a person who loves someone with autism.

Stares and glares can suck

I know that there are times when people look at us as if we are horrible parents because our child is frustrated or upset and acting out, and somehow in there eyes, we look like we’re not doing anything about it. And while the stares and glares can suck, they can't hurt us.

I'm not misbehaving

Just remember that not all people are ignorant and rude just because they are staring. It is our human nature to look at things we don’t understand to try to understand it.

I try to look at the stares as an opportunity for people to become more autism aware.
