As a mother, I will never give up on my child. As a mother of a child who has autism, I will never give up hope.
I look into his eyes and I see all the potential that he has to offer to this beautiful world and I just know that one day the world can see what I see.

These are just a handful of the replies from Autism Creations Facebook fans when they were asked “Would you like to help with my next tag I will be working on? Theme: “Autism Is”. In your own words, finish this sentence, ‘Autism is???’”

Autism has been labeled many different things in society, and for the most part, looked upon negatively or like a burden, but not one person in the group had anything bad to say about autism. I was very touched and moved by the response this topic received and the overall message I took back from it: Never give up, take each day by day, and love unconditionally.

So in your own words, finish this sentence: “Autism is...”

  2. Autism is... "the biggest life-changing event and turning point that put me on the road to becoming a better person. It is an eye-opening experience that has changed my outlook on life for the better. It is a secret world so different from the norm, but so MUCH better. It is a common bond I share with the most remarkable people I've met. It is an honor, a calling, a priviledge, an opportunity to teach the rest of the world what life is all about and what matters most. It is a blessing, an educational experience,a spiritual journey, an avenue for finding other ways to communicate, and a way to emphasize less traditional yet more meaningful forms of communication. It is exciting, emotional, deep, exhilarating, intense, always unique, and never boring. It is a beautiful connection, the epitome of LOVE, never taking anything for granted, and PRICELESS! It is the future of the world. Autism is my son. Autism is my life."

  3. Autism to me, is a complete mystery.Captivating questionable in fascinating at the same time.Sometimes when I stare at my nefew tyler I often wonder how he can maintain such a beautiful smile all the time.Maybe because he's nine and he doesnt see how openly people judge him or write him off as a handicap and in reality i think us so-called normal people have the most handicaps .Though my nefew cant speak and when I call him he doesnt answer I know he hears me I know whenever he's ready to come around I'll be waiting for him.Autism to me is family, its love it's all tyler knows and all I want to get to know and better understand Autism is tyler,
