Bryce loves Google Maps. In particular, Bryce loves the ‘Street View’ feature that lets you explore places around the world through 360-degree street-level imagery. He navigates around where we live, places he’s been, friends and families houses, streets, and landmarks all by memory.

I mention this because every single time that we drive by this one little park Bryce always says, “Not there anymore.” For a while we didn’t know what he was talking about until we overheard him on the computer saying, “There it is! Not there anymore,” and saw he was talking about a structure that shows up on Google Maps but isn’t there when you go to the actual place... until now.

Well, I’m not sure if this is a seasonal thing or what not, but we happened to be driving by that park and the structure was being put together and Bryce was all smiles, “There it is!”

So what was making Bryce smile?

A dragon!

I have no idea what is with the dragon or why it gets built, but it makes Bryce smile and that’s all that matters.

Bryce seems to have mastered Google Maps and tells us what’s where and when we are driving in those areas he points out things he saw on Google Maps. He’s a big fan of cult-de-sacs and always wants us to drive in them (he knows if we’re near one). He also likes to tell us where to drive, especially if it’s for food or going to the movie theatre.

If your child likes navigating or maps or even exploring, I recommend you check out Google Maps and play around with the ‘Street View’ feature. Google Maps is even a great tool to help teach your child where they live!
